Old Hammondtown Art Dollars
Art Dollars are points that OHS homerooms may earn in art class each week. The points (or "dollars") are awarded at the end of each art class during our interactive, art-trivia time (lesson review).
Twice a year, homerooms tally up their Art Dollars and vote as a class on how they would like to spend the money. The options are all activities for the group to enjoy, for example, time on the pottery wheel, splatter painting, or caricature portraits. Each activity varies in price depending on how involved it is or the materials needed.

How can I help my homeroom earn art dollars?
- Pay close attention during art demonstrations so you can help answer during art-trivia to review our skills of the day
- Help at clean up time and/or organizing (sweeping, sharpening pencils, straightening out bins, pencils, etc.)
- Look for opportunities to help a classmate (ex: review something from the demonstration, help them if they are feeling frustrated or need ideas, lend a hand if someone spills paint or water, etc)
- If Mrs. Anderson is absent on your art day, be kind and courteous to the substitute teacher
